Accommodation

London has a wide range of hotels and other accommodation, ranging from major international hotels to small boutique hotels in charming side streets. Many delegates will also have relatives and friends in London to stay with.

A range of accommodation has been ear-marked for our delegates close to the venue, including student and hotel accommodation. Please note these rooms are subject to availability and will all be released to the general public in May 2012 so book early if you can.

Student accommodation

This must be booked through Imperial College and paid directly to the College. Currently it is only possible to book for the nights of the Congress, 22nd to 26th August.  Booking for extra nights before and after the Congress opens mid to late February and should be done by contacting Imperial College directly.

Between 22nd and 26th August 2012 these rooms can only be booked by our delegates (and accompanying persons). These rooms include some single and twin rooms with private bathrooms and some with shared bathrooms. N.B. Premium single ensuite rooms have a small double bed so could suit couples.

When booking please be sure to use the code IBBY2012, in the box for promotion code, to access the rooms being held for our delegates.

Homestays

We have a very small number of opportunities for delegates to stay with London families. These are only available for those from those countries in category 8 in the IBBY dues categories and are subject to availability. To apply for a homestay, email: delegates@ibbycongress2012.org
